Our curriculum approach heavily favors hands-on, scenario based practice taught in a wilderness setting. We pride ourselves on the dynamic delivery of course curriculum using innovative educational techniques and integrative scenarios. We strive to deliver courses that are rich in quality, consistency, and effectiveness while still having fun “in the classroom.”
Our medical courses follow the curriculum suggested by the Wilderness Medical Society. DMM is a member of Professional Outdoor Medical Educators (POME) and has reciprocity with all the leading wilderness medical instruction agencies. Our courses are recognized by government agencies, universities, commercial outfitters, non-profit outdoor education programs, and guide services throughout North America. We strive to stay at the cutting edge of the wilderness medicine field through continual research and on-going professional development.
